A home for every dancer, every step, every story.

My Dance Lab teaches dance classes for adults and kids, performs at events, and creates choreography for brands. After more than three years of classes in studios around Penang, we opened a studio of our own in Alma, Bukit Mertajam, in 2026.

The studio is led by its founder, Hema, a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer since the age of nine. She completed her Salangai Poojai in 2009, a significant milestone in her classical dance journey. Over the years she has explored and performed many styles, including Tamil folk, Bollywood, contemporary and jazz funk, and in 2022 she competed on Dance Jodi Dance, Zee Tamil's prestigious TV dance competition.

A clinical optometrist turned dancerpreneur, Hema blends her passion for dance with an entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring others through movement, creativity and the art of storytelling.
